Couples Night Review

Okay so couples night was fantastic this month.
I was skeptical about bowling but it was so much fun...It seems like the same couples are comming each time and that makes it really neat when you get to know people and they're all fun to be with. On the other hand, it would be cool to meet some new faces... It may be intimidating for a couple to just take a leap of faith and come with out a personal invite so please mention to the couples in your home groups, work place, moms groups, etc...that we would love to have them come. I would like to do something that is free and not athletic this next month. I have a really humble home up in the hills of SHingletown and think it might be fun for me to blow the dust off of my Martha;s hors d' overes cookbook and make some great dinner thing and have a fun night of games and hanging out...the only thing is the drive. It takes about 35 minutes to get here. If thats not a big deal let me know and i will throw it together. If anyone else has a better idea throw it out there! I think more couples could come if it didnt cost any thing (holidays are comming up) and one couple wanted to come last time but due to an injury couldnt bowl...you see the dilemma. I would love some ideas for couples night. Also, there is a ballroom dancing class for five dollars a person every tuesday night...I was thinking about arranging child care if any one wanted to do this with CHad and I. They do one dance a month like "East Coast Swing" in JAnuary, "tango" in February etc... We did it for a while and it was a blast. If any one is interested let me know and I will see about child care details. Keep in mind its about 2.5 hours long and with child care it would be about 20.00 per week. Maybe do it for a month and see how it goes? If you gave up eating at a drive through as a family one time a week or cut down on 5 starbucks you could have a cool date night once a week...I like to play that game.

I love couples night and we'd definitely come up to your house, the drive could be part of the adventure of the night. I concur with the non-athletic part, although I'm a great cheerleader. We've thought about the ballroom classes before - Nathan may be more game for it if he knew other people :)
